Music of yester-year

So while were proud to announce thanks to some good friends our first LP “The Kettle Black” is right on the horizon, we thought it would be fun to put together a small compilation of past projects. All different their own way, each has led to the development of the project were in now, and the influences are interesting to hear. Keep in mind these are not what we are currently playing but songs from past projects we’ve been in. Also we have to emphasize although Jesse doesn’t have any past projects here for us to post, he has been imperative in the development of the sound C-Leb & the Kettle Black is evolving and without him it would not be anywhere close to where it is. We don’t want to create confusion about what were doing, just a glimpse back to where we’ve been. To paraphrase, “Its a long way to the top if you wanna rock-n-roll.” Hope you enjoy, here they are:

C-Leb’s first Seattle band altaRego. This song was release just before Bush’s second election.

Another C-Leb project C-Leb & A-Bro, definitely hear the harmonica starting to develop into the songs.

Here’s one of Jazz’s past projects, Bens Jazz Kit. This particular song is one of my favorites.

Also Jazz and X-Kid’s current project Black Gravity, this song featuring C-Leb on harmonica.

Nichole Halleen is our rehearsal space roommate and great friend and currently sings in another project Jazz plays with.

All of this leads up to the project were getting ready to release, can’t wait for everyone to hear.
In the meantime our next show is at Skagit River Brewery and were playing all night in Mount Vernon, should be a blast hope you can make it out. ttys
